We have completed the financing of our first major debt purchase in cooperation with RIP Medical Debt. The debt totals about 3 million dollars and it is owed by individuals/families all over the state of Texas. Our first purchase was focused in Texas, because it is a very underinsured state which means personal debt is a greater problem. In fact, Texas was ranked 49th in nation in terms of employees being able to get insurance from their employers, one of the most common ways to get coverage. Over the coming weeks, RIP Medical Debt will be working to forgive the debt. This is only the first of many debt purchases that our organization will finance. We are very grateful for the support that our organization has received. We could not do this without the compassion of others.
